| Reflections from Donor Families |
|
October 17, 1997
Margaret H. Cooper, Ph.D
Dear Dr. Cooper:
On behalf of the family of xxxx, I
want to thank you and all the students, faculty and staff of St.
Louis University Medical School for the Memorial Service this
past Wednesday.
I was particularly moved, impressed and consoled
by the student reflections. Mr.Chiu's comment that the donors
have been buried in the students minds will always be remembered.
My father was employed for many years at Pevely Dairy
Company as a milk and ice cream driver. He parked his car on
Hickory Street next to the garage on Grand Boulevard. Although
I handled for him his donation of his body many years ago, it
never occurred to me until Wednesday that he would come to complete
his service on earth at St. Louis University Medical School only
a few hundred yards away from the place where he started so many
of his working days in support of his family.
Thank you again for the Memorial Service and please
commend all who participated for makkg it such a meaningful and
special occasion for those in attendance.
Yours very truly, |
